Good Plains Farm

Good Plains Farm is a small farm located in Timberville, Virginia dedicated to the practice of regenerative agriculture. We are learning to be better stewards of the land by focusing on the health of the soil, plants, and animals, which translates into healthy consumers! Returning to our ancestral roots, soil, and the "Plains" of the Valley as 7th and 8th generation of "good" farmers, we hope to provide a high-quality food source to local families and continue to expand our offerings in the future.

We currently raise a small herd of 100% grassfed and finished pure Devon and Devon/Angus cross beef. Our grass-fed Devon cattle are well loved and cared for. Along with using soil-building rotational grazing practices across our land and daily moves to fresh grass, they are given a free-choice mineral mix, kelp, and natural trace mineral salt.

Grass-fed and finished beef is available for custom processing at various times throughout the year, and by the individual cut. We are building an on-farm store to allow customers to stop in and shop.

We also have a flock of pasture-raised hens. They are a diverse mix of heritage breeds and crosses/hybrids and produce a rainbow of colorful pastured eggs. Our hens are 100% on pasture in a mobile coop that is moved frequently to fresh pasture. They also receive a high quality (non-medicated), locally milled, non-GMO and soy-free feed.

Eggs are available anytime at our farm in the fridge. We accept cash/coin, check, Venmo and Paypal.
