My husband James and I started Iron Heart Ranch in May of 2021 with a simple goal in mind: to produce high-quality, local, pasture-raised, grass-fed lamb for our family and the families in our local community. We acquired four Romanov sheep, three ewes and a ram, and currently have them on pasture in Gilbert. This breed is a primitive breed that produces leaner, more tender meat than commercial breeds of sheep with a mild and delicious flavor. The ewes should be having their first sets of lambs in early January of 2022, and we are now taking pre-orders for lambs ready in the summer/fall of 2022. We also sell raw fleeces that are ideal for home crafters and hand spinners.
