Ravenswood Community Farmers Market is a collaboration between vendors, local businesses, residents, and The Ravenswood Covenant Church. Located in the parking lot behind the church, this newly revamped market will have many of the same great features of its predecessor. The church staff will still offer kids activities including the bouncy house, science projects, and water games. In addition, the new market will have food only vendors, and a strong focus on Community Outreach. The operation and success of the market will be by the community, for the community. Our funding will come from sponsorship at both the local business and individual level. In turn, the market will not only be a great place to shop and gather but also support and give back to charitable organizations in the community. Each week we have a community tent available for such organizations as Hannigan Hedghog HQ, Amundsen High School, and Ravenswood Community Services.

The Independence Park Farmers Market has a great selection of vendors and services. Plus, it's a great way to connect with neighbors in these busy times. I always run into people I know while I'm there. We now make it a Sunday morning routine. I only wish it was every week.

I find lots of goods such as vegetables, bread, coffee and other things that i need, specially those home-made dog treats hard to find in other places. I like it the most because there are many friendly people who lives in my area. Nice to know they are in the same page.
