CSA: Meadow's Mirth

We offer a unique market-based CSA. Joining our CSA helps us with early season start-up costs. You benefit by getting a discount on our products, and free choice as to what you want in your pickups. We will keep you updated via our blog and email about what's happening on the farm including what's ripening up in the field. If you miss a week, you won't loose your share. If you want more or less of something, great! We will let you know what your balance is so there are no surprises. We will also be hosting potluck picnics at the farm for shareholders during the growing season.

One share ($400) entitles you to $440 worth of produce at our Farmers' Market booth from January-December 2011. That is a 10% savings off of our regular market price. You can add to your account at any time throughout the season. There are no set weekly boxed pickups. Just choose what you want each week. We will be at the Exeter and Rollinsford Markets in the winter, and during the spring, summer & fall at Exeter Farmers' Market on Thursdays, and Portsmouth Farmers' Market on Saturdays. You can also pick up vegetables at our farm stand in Stratham.

How We Do It: In addition to favorite vegetables, we enjoy growing unique and heirloom varieties. As organic growers, our philosophy is that healthy soil makes healthy plants. While we strive to provide optimal growing conditions for bumper crops, factors such as weather are beyond our control. Eating seasonally and locally can be a challenge, but the taste of farm fresh produce is more than worth it. You may find unusual vegetables not found in any grocery store! We encourage our members to try new or unusual items at least once, and be prepared to alter and expand your usual menus based on what is in season!
