Mighty Sprout Farm and CSA

Mighty Sprout Farm backstory: we started farming in 2008 in bits and pieces, eventually taking the deep dive into CSA farming as a founding farm of First Hand Harvest CSA, proud winner of a 2009 Winnebago County Green Business award. Evolving from the multi-farm CSA model of FHH, Mighty Sprout Farm improved and expanded through 2012 growing for area restaurants, markets, and individuals that invested in good, clean, local food. We offer a Best of Summer and Fall "limited edition CSA." If a full 20 week CSA is too much, too often, or too expensive, our mini will be perfect: Best of Summer (late July-August) and Best of Fall (Sept-Oct) Harvest in 6 boxes (3/4 bushel) for $150. What's on tap? The good stuff, naturally grown: beans, carrots, beets (red and gold), mild kale, potatoes, heirloom tomatoes, mini-broccoli, summer and winter squash, swiss chard, sweet onions, and more, plus... our blackberries, apples, and, pending spring weather, pears. Bonus bonus: Asparagus in May. We also have a flock of happy go-lucky hens that are pastured, free-range. We sells these eggs on subscription apart from the CSA.
