The Story of Windy Fields Farm Chris Delisle and James Mohan started their small greenhouse business in 2001 with little money, a few tomato seeds and big dreams. Since then, due to smart choices and honest work, they have grown into a thriving, successful business in just eight years. James grew up in Center Harbor, NH and graduated with a culinary degree at the prestigious culinary school, Johnson and Wales in Rhode Island in 1997. He has worked in local restaurants for 18 years producing quality, tasty meals with little personal credit, until now. Chris grew up in Hampton, NH and has worked in prominent restaurants for 18 years including Riverwoods Retirement Community in Exeter, NH and Eagle Mountain House in Jackson, NH. Chris's creativity and zest for making new recipes has made him into the experienced, talented chef he is today. Chris and James met in 1999, both working as chefs for the popular Loves' Quay Restaurant in Wolfeboro, NH. They became fast friends and due to their similar passions for working with food, growing from the land, and hard labor, they became quick and complementary business partners. James' family includes Schylar,9,Kendylle,6, and his supportive wife Lisa. Chris is recently married to his wife, Lisa and has a step-daughter, Alexis,14. Schylar, Kendylle, and Alexis help out on the farm every summer and are endearingly titled "The Windy Fields Farm Kids" Chris and James pride themselves on hard work and quality produce including fresh farm tomatoes, veggies, herbs, flowers, pumpkins, and more. Now with their new kitchen, they are excited not only to share their greenhouse skills, but also to reveal their years of culinary experience to the public, to create delicious, home-cooked meals to locals and travelers alike. Their hopes for the future as they continue to expand and grow as a business are to make Windy Fields Farm into an open, 4-season family farm. Chris and James would especially like to thank their parents, Pat and Sheila Mohan, Cheryl and Tom Delisle, and the rest of their family members and friends for their continuous support and help throughout the years. Without family, friends, and loyal customers, there would be no Windy Fields Farm! Thanks to all.
