Wayland Chiles is an organic small, family run, farm dedicated to biodiversity specializing in rare and heirloom chiles, corn, eggplant, squash, and tomatoes. When you plant seeds from Wayland Chiles you are helping to prevent loss of fruits and vegetables that factory farms push out of the markets the from only a few well-known varieties. Our bee hives and other pollinators are kept busy pollinating the vegetable flowers and wide variety of flowers we grow. Pollination significantly increases yields and results in larger and more uniform shaped fruit. We use organic fertilizers and never use any pesticides. This is good for the pollinators that visit our flowers and good for you when you eat what we grow, and plant the seeds we save. We sell seeds that we have grown in isolation, ensuring the plants you grow are true to the variety. We make our own sun-dried tomatoes and use our chiles to make chipotle, chile powder, salsa and hot sauce. We sell the chiles pods fresh or dried.
