North Mountain Pastures grows and sells naturally-raised meat and other food products in central Pennsylvania. Our products are grown on our home farm or purchased form local farmers who share our farming philosophies. Each of us is committed to sustainable agriculture.
We have a CSA in which customers buy meat shares and receive a monthly bag of various combinations of 100 % grassfed beef and lamb, and pasture raised pork and chicken. We also sell pastured eggs, sauerkraut and other fermented vegetables, raw grassfed cheese, and pastured turkeys.
Please see our website for more information about production practices, farm visits, and how to order.

We've been in the NMP meat CSA for at least two years now and are very happy with their meat, their family-focussed, sustainable farming philosophy. The CSA has a large number of options to choose from in terms of size (sm, med, full) and combinations (4 types, 3 types, chicken only, no pork, etc.).... [more]
They're new. They've only been around about a year (as a CSA) and they're just working out the kinks. The meat is good; we especially like the pork and the eggs and the beef steaks.... [more]
Our goals:
To sell a diversity of traditionally produced meat products, all raised on pasture. To give our animals a stress-free, natural life. No herbicides, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, hormones, or GMOs ever used. To build and improve our soils to grow the most nutrient dense food possible. To build a strong local economy and support other small farmers. Connect people with their food source. Actively educate about farm ecology, naturally raised foods, and how to prepare them.
