We are a small farm in Lake Placid, Florida. Currently, our farm has 450 persimmon trees and various other fruit trees, bushes, plants etc. We are in the process of turning the 4.5 acres into a Permaculture food forest (a "food jungle" as we imagine it). We are pursuing a long time dream; to farm healthy, pesticide and chemical free fruits and vegetables and to live sustainability and self sufficiently with the smallest footprint possible.
Our passion is to educate the surrounding communities about being able to grow their own food in their own yards and to become self sufficient as well.
Another goal for our farm is to produce enough food to sell through CSAs, Farmer Markets, and to sell to restaurants. We will also host Farm to Table Dinners at the facility. This way our "food message" will reach a wide area of people in Florida.
We hold lectures and training on Permaculture methods and Natural/Organic (chemical free) farming techniques and benefits etc. We will be offering Permaculture Design Certifications and designing food forests and edible landscapes for clients around the world.
We feel that it's very important to get this message out to as many people as possible. After spending time with our families and other people we speak to in the surrounding communities, it concerns us that so many people are not aware of what is happening to their food or what exactly is in their food!
We believe that growing your own food is a revolution, masquerading as gardening.
If you are interested in becoming an intern on our small farm, please contact us and we would be happy to talk to you about what you would like to learn and what would be included in your internship!

Please call for availability. We have persimmons Oct-December every year and we have planted herbs, jades and aloes plants for sale.
I have not been here yet but apparently passed it often on US27 going to Lorida, I will update this Review shortly with my observations, just a pleasure to see local GMO free food products and a respect for the food supply! I hope to get some info about planying on my own property nearby.
Persimmon fruit for sale from September through December. In Spring of 2014 we'll have persimmon trees for sale all year. Soon we'll have persimmon jams, persimmon leaf tea and dried persimmons for sale. You can come visit us for purchases or we can talk about Central, West Coast and South Florida deliveries. We won't be doing U-pick for the 2013 harvest. Please contact us for more information if you would like to purchase fruit or trees from us! Thank you!
