Now taking orders for Thanksgiving 2009! Peterman's Pastured Poultry raises pastured heritage turkeys for the local and regional Thanksgiving holiday market. Our Narragansett, Bourbon Red, and Black Spanish toms and hens are raised on pasture, and are free to exhibit their natural behaviors, running, flying, playing, sun-bathing and jousting. They eat pasture forage, seeds, nuts, fruits and bugs, as well as supplemental meatbird feed that is always antibiotic-free. Turkeys are processed on our farm in the few days before the holiday and are sold fresh, cold only (not frozen), to assure you the tastiest feast. We will keep you informed of the date/time for picking up your bird in the few days before Thanksgiving. Please call us to place your order. Order early, as we have a very limited number in our flock. A deposit of $25 will be taken at the time of your order. We try our best to match bird size to your order. Please help us preserve the genetic stock of these important, hardy, and delicious rare breeds by supporting our farm this holiday. "If you haven't tasted a pastured heritage turkey, you haven't tasted a turkey!"
