Plum Creek Garlic

As our name suggests, at Plum Creek Garlic we specialize in growing garlic. Our garlic is planted in the fall, mulched with straw for the winter and carefully weeded and watered during the spring and early summer. July brings the harvest and our garlic is for sale starting in early August. No chemicals are ever used and our fertilizer comes mainly from the neighbor's cows supplemented where necessary with certified organic, natural fertilizers. We rotate our garlic crop from year-to-year to ensure both a healthy soil and no disease build-up. We only grow hard neck garlic varieties which typically do well anywhere in Minnesota or the upper Midwest. Hard neck garlic often do not grow well in the deep South. Our garlic is sold as both eating garlic and planting stock.
