Prairie Belle Enterprises

The Prairie Belle Farm house has been in Clinton County since 1860, named for the blue bells that bloom every year in the front yard for more than 100 years. But the vegetable farm is only about a year old, even though we have been gardening for more than 30 years. We have always enjoyed growing and eating our own vegetables. Now that Greg is retired and has more time to spend at home, we have decided to become part of the Buy Fresh Buy Local movement. This growing season we plan to grow early tomatoes in the high tunnel, more heirloom tomatoes, and the usual: beans, snap peas, peppers, cucumbers, carrots, onions, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce and spinach, to name a few. We will be at the DeWitt Farmers Market on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 pm.
