Moon Breaker Ranch

We are located in Madera County in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California. Moon Breaker Ranch is a small family run farm, we focus on bringing you and your family local, heritage, humane and sustainable foods. We pasture raise all of the animals that live on the farm, they are free to act as they would in their natural environment, stress free. In addition to allowing them to graze freely, we choose to raise mostly heritage breeds of livestock, many of these breeds are endangered or rare and we want to do our part in keeping these wonderful creatures thriving for future generations. Allowing all our animals to graze and forage creates a wonderful flavor in both our eggs and meats. Our chickens lay beautiful brown eggs with a nice orange yolk, high in omega 3 and other vitamins. Our beef and pig are heritage breeds that have a good amount of marbling in their meat, which gives it great flavor and keeps it juicy and moist while cooking. Currently we are raising a small herd of Dexter cattle, a flock of Rhode Island Red and Barred Rock chickens, Pygmy goats and will be getting our heritage hogs in the next month.
