Maynard Family Farm

Maynard Farm is family owned and operated. We raise free range poultry and grass fed Pineywoods cattle. We are committed to "Farm to Table Agriculture" fully sustainable farming methods and heritage breeds. We sell all of our farm products direct to the public through the Maynard Farm CSA or Hub City Farmers Market (Spartanburg), Blythewood Farmers Market (Columbia) and Charleston Farmers Market (Charleston). This season we will raise a wide variety of produce including several types of flavorful peas, greens, lettuce, kale, sweet corn, sweet potatoes, peppers, onions, beans, cantaloupe, watermelon, turnips, okra and more. We will offer over more than 15 tomato varieties as well as organic herbs and spices. Maynard Farm CSA member shares are available for purchase April 1st. CSA members will receive our weekly eNews letter and by-weekly food packages beginning in 1st week of May through last week of November. We seek to form farm to table community around our farm and provide a life style for wholesome food for our CSA members. We have a limited number of CSA Shares available, so do not delay. Maynard Farm CSA Membership Options: The Meat and Produce Full Share includes Farmer�s choice fresh produce selection and 20 whole (oven-ready) chickens. Members will receive four batches of 5 whole chickens over the course of the growing season. Cost: $420.00. The Meat and Produce Half Share includes Farmer's choice fresh produce selection and provides 12 whole (oven-ready) chickens. Members will receive four batches of 3 whole chickens over the course of the growing season. Cost: $210.00. The Full Meat Share With Convenience Portions includes Farmer's choice fresh produce selection and provides 20 chickens packaged in convenient portions. Members will receive four batches of 5 chickens (1 whole and 4 cut and portion-packaged) over the course of the growing season (see full details on portion packaging below). Cost: $460.00. Over the growing season, members will receive four batches of chicken containing: -1 whole chicken -4 packs of 2 breasts -4 packs of 2 leg quarters -1 pack of 8 wings (16 drummetts & wingettes) -1 pack of backs & necks for stock (packages to make at least 10 meals for two, plus chicken stock) The Half Share With Convenience Portions includes Farmer�s choice fresh produce selection and 12 chickens packaged in convenient portions. Members will receive four batches of 3 chickens (1 whole and 2 cut and portion-packaged) over the course of the growing season (see full details on portion packaging below). Cost: $275.00. Over the growing season, members will receive four batches of chicken containing: -1 whole chicken -2 packs of 2 breasts -2 packs of 2 leg quarters -1 pack of 4 wings (8 drummetts & wingettes) -1 pack of backs & necks for stock (packages to make at least 6 meals for two, plus chicken stock) The Produce Only Full Share includes Farmer's choice fresh produce selection. By weekly local pickup (South Carolina locations only) Members will receive Weekly E-mail Farm News Letter that will provide all the information about progress of food and livestock development, as well as recopies and food storage information. Cost $230.00. The Produce Only Half Share includes Farmer's choice fresh produce package, with a nice selection of fresh grown herbs and spices selection. By weekly local pickup (South Carolina locations only) Members will receive Weekly E-mail Farm News Letter that will provide all the information about progress of food and livestock development, as well as recipes and food storage information.
