Bishop-Eastern Sierra Farmers' Market

This small farmers market has 2 locations--the tri-county fairgrounds in bishop on sat morning and the park on old mammoth road in mammoth lakes on wednesday eves. both are accessible by public transit.
The big vendor at both locations is apple hill, an organic 20 acre farm just south of bishop. the market contact, J. Osborne also has a good variety of produce weekly, and beautiful gladioli. Other vendors vary from week to week as do the products offered. Most common vegetables and fruits make an appearance during their brief seasons. Additionally, there are herbs, flowers, and occasionally, crafts. prices approximate and often beat the only supermarkets in both towns--and the freshness and varieties are worth the trip.
Show your support for local and organic by patronizing the local farmers market. Tell them what you want and what you appreciate about their efforts. We need to grow this market to include more budding farmers and crafters, and perhaps include a csa.
