Low-Line Market

I enjoy most farmer's markets, but one often seems much like another. 61st Street Market has taken enormous care to tailor itself to the needs of its diverse community and is itself an organic part of of a wider network of concerns and activities that consciously address very local needs in the context of much wider and very important concerns. The market's motto is "connect to your food," but the connections fostered among friends, neighbors, and vendors goes far beyond what I have experienced at other markets. I love it.
