Jordan Farms

By: Sandy (Feb 5, 2009)
Last week I ran out to the farm to pick up some rain-damaged strawberries (great for eating/freezing but might not last long enough for the market) & got treated to a nice tour & a chance to pick up some produce before the farm stand opens in spring. Got an enormous gorgeous red curly leaf lettuce & red romaine. Also got to pick some sweet-off-the-vine English peas--WOW, they're so much better than the frozen-in-the-bag kind! Who knew?? Speaking of sweet, Jordan Farms has just about the most amazingly sweet strawberries I have ever had the joy of eating. We almost couldn't STOP eating the "rain-damaged" ones we got. It's as if they were drizzled in honey!

Shows why "the old ways" are still the best!
