Gordon Farmer's Market Association

If you are travelling across northern Nebraska or planning to camp in this part of the state, a stop at the Gordon farmers' market will surprise you as it did me. Fresh lettuce, radishes, and other cool season produce the first week of June (amazing for the sandhills. . .) from a grower with a high tunnel! Frozen range fed buffalo, organic popcorn were among the treats. Clean, attractive displays and creative signs. Gordon is a very small town in a significantly rural part of Nebraska. I would suggest brining a cooler to keep the produce fresh and the meat frozen so you can stock up. I've been to a lot of farmers markets all over the US and this was a great market when I least expected it!
