Hesperia Civic Market & Street Faire

all i saw was a lot of used crap and when i asked some of the so called farmers where they grew their crops at. They said they didn't - they got it the same place the grocers get theirs. What a waste of tax payers money.

Brad contacted myself and other local farmers to attend the market. Our local farmers are working hard to bring farm fresh produce to our communities. I am currently selling to only the local Tri Community area of Phelan, Pinon Hills and Wrightwood, but am looking forward to meeting the needs of Hesperia in the new season with the addition of new fields and new greenhouses. Please continue to support your local farmers. Rowena Moonstruck Farms CSA

Actually, the event in Hesperia isn't a "farmers market," but a Civic Market and Street Fair. Secondly, the event isn't funded by tax payers dollars, but is paid for by the vendors themselves that rent their spaces at a very minimal cost. While the event is attended by some ceritified growers, it does remain difficult to get such vendors because we don't live in an area that grows a lot of produce to sell. 99% of all comments related to the event are very, very positive.
