Mount Pleasant Farmers Market

In Mt. Pleasant, a "new" little town, the Farmer's Market is one of the only attempts at quaint and old fashioned for these Yankee retirees.
It is a huge step South for many to grace the farmers with something less solid than plastic-cash only (what!? you don't take visa?), and this market is literally the closest that some of these folks will ever get to connecting with the Earth and where their delicious food comes from.
It is amazing as well that some of these old African-American farmers have gotten hip to the organics and made the switch. These old men still speak Gullah out on the islands where they grow. To make such a change is unheard of in the some parts of the South.
This market has a brand-new facility, and has put a lot of faith in the future of this Tuesday evening event that happens right outside of Moultrie Middle School. The people are all a-buzz!
