Ecology Center Farmers' Markets

Right now it's all about the Blue Moon organic blackberries at the Thursday market. In early spring it's about fava beans and artichokes at all three. In the winter it's the sweetish bitter greens. 9 months of the year there are various varieties of avocados. Little gems are a lettuce I can actually get excited about. Oh--mustn't forget Lucero strawberries. Not only are they juicy & sweet but they also taste like strawberries! Yeah, I'm told farmers' markets environmentally sound, and a visit to one is an instant antidepressant, but I wouldn't be going down to Derby Street today if it weren't for the peaches. I support the Berkeley Farmers' Markets because I like good food.
