Salem Farmers Market

The Salem Farmer's Market has a wonderful blend of locally grown produce, pasture-raised meats, fresh eggs, artisan cheeses, plants, baked goods, and homemade treats. This summer they've begun hosting a Chef's Circle where local chefs cook dishes, using a very impressive portable kitchen, with ingredients that they pick up that morning on the market. In winter-time you'll find fresh decorations for the season. When not "in use" by farmers, the market hosts year-round activities for the community with bands, activities for kids, the occasional petting zoo, pumpkin carving contest, and so on. It really is a fantastic Farmer's Market.
