Alternative Community Farmer -Consultant/ South Florida

By: Alan Pratt (May 28, 2008)
My name is Alan Pratt, and I am a health advocate, raw foodist, and master juice faster.

I met Tony when I attended one of his Natural Tropical Farming lectures. The first thing he did was give us samples of his herbs, including lemon thyme, rosemary and basil. I was struck by how much stronger and more pungent the scents and tastes of his herbs were in comparison to anything I had bought in stores. I commented on this, and Tony explained that he uses only the best seeds and soil. Then I knew I wanted to taste the full range of Tony's produce.

When Tony made his first delivery to my home, I was overwhelmed by the sight of these big abundant baskets of hearty vibrant greens! The amount of produce Tony delivers for the price is excellent, and the quality is far superior to organic produce from stores. Tony cuts the greens, vegetables and fruits off the plants right before he delivers them, so they are as fresh as fresh gets. Greens that have traveled across the state or across the nation have lost much of their life force and nutrient value ? this is why LOCAL naturally grown produce is preferable.

The bottom line: Tony's greens are the best I have ever eaten. All of Tony's produce is naturally and ethically grown and harvested, with no pesticides or hormones. He uses the best seeds, the best soil, and gives the best love and care to his plants. How do I know this? Because the greens have more taste, more zing, more VITALITY! The leaves and stems are stronger, and the plants stay fresh in the frig longer than the organic produce I get from my favorite health markets. The LIFE FORCE simply cannot be matched by produce from large commercial farms, organic or commercial.

Over the years, I have heard the world's leading raw food and health gurus speak of the difference between "regular organic produce" and "wild crafted" vegetation, but I had not experienced the difference. Tony's greens are the wildest crafted greens I've found!

Here are a few of my favorites from Tony: * Dandelion (one of the most important greens to me) -- I juice tons of it, and also eat in salads. Tony's dandelion greens are powerful and alive and a joy to eat and drink. * The tomatoes Tony grows are unlike any I've ever eaten -- so crunchy and vital. They are not as sugary sweet as other tomatoes; they have not been hybridized to contain more sugar -- and this is fine with me. These tomatoes, like all of Tony's produce, just seem more REAL. * Tony's papayas are even better. They are definitely not as sugary sweet as commercial papayas, which I thought for a moment might be less than desirable. What I quickly discovered, however, is that Tony's have more real papaya taste -- I literally can taste more authentic "papaya flavor" rather than sugar. What a revelation! * And the tiny crunchy cucumbers -- all I can say is WOW !!
