Trumansburg Farmers Market

The market is small enough to have a true community feel, but big on diversity and quality of farm produce, baked goods, crafts, diner vendors, and musicians. I began selling produce at the Trumansburg Market two years ago and feel at home: the vendors are cooperative rather than competitive, and there's always a lively two-way exchange of information with customers, many of them serious gardeners. Quite a few kids know good food: they recognize habaneros and serranos, Araucana and Welsumer eggs. How encouraging for the future of local foods!
