Nassau Bay Farmer's Market

By: Farmer's Market Research (Jan 9, 2010)
This is a great market to sell at. There are no fees, and the vendors do not need to pay to the organizer. All the products must be natural or organic, but they do not require certification, because they realize how silly those standards can be. There are some great farmers that come, but if you want veggies, come early. They usually sell out by noon, and then leave.

The meat vendors are great. Locally raised grass fed beef is the best. The roast and hamburger meat are so lean! The steaks melt in your mouth, and the chicken and pork are great, too. The bacon is worth the trip out there. Fresh eggs laid locally and recently.

Annie B's Homemade soaps are wonderful and the plants that Bill sells are the best that I have seen anywhere, and he can get you most anything if he doesn't have it with him. He has great compost tea for your own gardening needs. He is a certified master gardener and will help you with any questions or problems you might have.

If you are thinking of selling products at a farmer's market in Houston, please consider selling at this market. They are open to new vendors and would love to see this market grow and thrive. Just remember--natural and or organic.

Hi, I'm a beginner-level beekeeper, and was wondering how exactly I get my product up there to sell. I can literally just bring it with me? I haven't gotten my queens yet, but I would like to be prepared in advance. Thank you, Devon Thompson
