Kinikin Heights Natural Foods

We visited Kinikin recently (01/06/10) and were impressed by the dedication and innovation Jeff Downs has implemented at his sustainable, grass-based farm. The animals look healthy and happy, and Jeff has worked hard to develop a herd that thrives on pasture... and the results are striking! The meat we purchased (ground lamb, ground beef, chuck roast, skirt steak, and a heritage breed broiler) was delicious and tender--we are unsurprised that his products rate USDA Choice. His prices reflect the high quality of the food, but it's clear he works hard to keep his costs down to benefit his customers. Jeff was friendly and enthusiastic about his farming venture, and his operation looked clean and professional.

Jeff also had pork and eggs available which we didn't try this time, but are looking forward to going back for.
