The Good Farm

This has been my first year with the farm, although my cousin has been there for years, all it took was her dropping off veggies at my house when she was going on vacation. We could not believe the spinach, and salad mix-wonderful flavor and texture. We eat lots of vegetables from the grocery and there is no comparison. I can't say enough about the difference in taste, freshness (obviously) and variety of the vegetables offered. The turnips are outrageous. I wash them off and that is it, we cut them into wedges and eat them raw. I offered them to anyone who came into my house and even those people who don't like turnips, couldn't get over how sweet they were! My sister will be sharing a larger share with me this year, after having the opportunity to try the produce. The other wonderful part of belonging to the farm is the fields of beautiful flower that you can cut and take home. There is nothing nicer than having fresh cut flowers in your home. The people working at Quiet Creek are very helpful, and very sweet. I will certainly tell more people about this terrific experience!
