The Good Farm

We have just signed up for our fourth year at Quiet Creek. We love it. There's a great variety of veggies and our three children have fun tasting the new crop each week. The first year, which we enjoyed, we did the drop off and never went to the farm- loved the selection but didn't get a feel for the atmosphere. The second year we started pickup at the farm and are so glad for the weekly trip to pick up our veggies.

We have a small share and there is plenty of variety for our family of five. The UPick is the highlight of our week with plenty of fresh raspberries, flowers and beans amongst other things every week. My children have tried vegetables that they pick, never would have tried if I picked them up at a local grocery, and they love them. The sample sorrel crop two years ago created a love for sorrel that has them comparing every new green they try to how much they love the sorrel. When my oldest had questions about how potatoes grow and are harvested, one of the farmers brought us to the field and showed him the process.

Aimee, John and Heidi have created a friendly atmosphere with a great selection each week. The recipes they send from the farmers and other members provide creative ways to use the variety each week also.
