The Good Farm

We just signed up for our 3rd year with Quiet Creek Farm. It is an amazing experience! Everybody who is a part of the farm community is friendly and helpful. My son and my nieces and nephews LOVE coming to the farm! I teach in an urban school and many of my students have no clue about where the food they eat comes from. I want my son to feel connected to the land. I take back so much I learn to share with my students. My son loves to pull off a cherry tomato and pop it into his mouth! I never realized what I was missing by purchasing these items in the grocery store. The food from the farm is so rich with nutrients and has a long life in the frig. The luxury of purchasing a share of fruit from North Orchards is a plus! WE love summer and fall because of the farm. My son is literally counting the days to June for when we begin to enjoy "real" food again. I hope our farmers know that we pray for them daily and we appreciate all their hard work and efforts in keeping us healthy! I used to live by a microwave before my son was born. I want my family to eat healthy. Thanks to the weekly recipes, I am learning to love to cook and bake a variety of items! Thank you! We look forward to being members for as long as we are here!
