The Good Farm

We just finished our first year in 2009 with Quiet Creek Farm and had an excellent experience! We recommend this farm to anyone who is thinking about joining a CSA! John and Aimee are wonderful farmers and Heidi makes pickup at the barn so easy! The staff is very friendly and helpful and weekly emails with tips and recipes are very welcome. The produce has been delicious, fresh, and abundant. BEWARE - after eating produce that is harvested the same day you receive it, you will be forever holding your veggies to a much higher standard. I still cannot bring myself to buy some of the wilted produce I see at the grocery store. You will begin to realize how old some of this stuff is when you see how long your CSA veggies keep fresh in the refrigerator.

Our ten year old son can't wait for the new season to begin. It has been a wonderful experience to bring him to the farm. He loves to go out into the fields to harvest our U-Pick share! He has tried new vegetables and I feel so good about serving our family organic produce that is grown without harmful pesticides.
