Not mentioned here is that Holly and James also come to the new Farmers Market at Pen Park in Charlottesville on Tuesday afternoons. I walked up to their table the first market day and have been in vegetable heaven ever since. I'm even canning tomatoes for the first time in 30 years, based on a casual comment I overheard Holly make to another customer about her canning. Hmm, canning, I thought, that sounds fun -- who'da thunk? They do have a nice discount when you buy 25 lbs at a shot. Who can pass up a discount on fresh tomatoes?

Good people, nice vibes, happy vegetables and some unusual varieties (Armenian cucumbers, anyone?), what more can you ask for?
