Sandy Spring CSA

This is our first CSA. We love what we get. 12-14 items each week. A Swap Box if there is something we already grow, like some of the herbs.

The quality is outstanding. The mushrooms in the spring were a welcome treat. This week's box again has new items like white beets and black bean shoots we never had in previous weeks. Pick up is easy and convenient.

The CSA has two ways to communicate. The Lancaster Farm Fresh newsletter and the weekly email from Sandy Spring. Both have recipes, tips and there are profiles of the farmers in the cooperative. The fact that there are dozens of farmers helps, in the variety of produce, and the interesting choices like the mushrooms.

We definitely will be renewing for 2012.
