Pat and Elvis From Peas Farm brought it on again. For two weeks in a row they brought an Observation Bee Hive. I learned more than I can remember right now . Queen bee painted with a blue dot. The worker bees live 21 days and then leave the hive to die. Local honey fights allergies. Wheat honey Calzones taste great. And....and....so on. I also learned Pat and Elvis are planning to show us how to make pickles on August 13. {Something about putting them in a brine flipping them over and back over again for two days}, after Chef Michael and his parents return to the market from a trip to Univ. of Alabama for the son's graduation. And then in September we can all make Trail mix for a healthy back to school snack.
