Also, upon visiting the farm we found the animals to be well cared for. They are provided with a very good enviornment where they can range as they please. The family is very friendly and obviously care about the food products they are providing. The farm utilizes conscientious practices and it shows in the wonderful quality of food they provide.
The price of the meat is exceptional. We paid the flat rate per pound for the meat to Price Farms, and then we paid the meat market their price for processing. The meat market was very clean and professional. They cut and packaged the meat as we wished. Although the ground beef may have ended up costing a tiny bit more than grocery store prices, the cuts of steaks and roasts provided HUGE savings. And again, the quality cannot be beat!
