I have grown and sell the named varieties of alpine strawberry plants for years. After tasting the fruit from these, I do not buy domestic strawberries! One kind of yellow variety tastes just like sweet pineapple and wild strawberry and the whites produce a very sweet and wild strawberry like taste,then the reds have a taste, that cannot be compared, other than possibly a domestic strawberry triple the taste with extra sugar and a wild side to it. :)
