Moonlight Acres

My usual supplier had no eggs available so I contacted Moonlight Acres since they were in my local area. Mike answered my call and was willing to wait at the farm till I could get there after work and supply me with eggs and he even had some lettuce which I agreed to pickup also. We are in November here so not much produce left! He has jumbo sized eggs.. His chickens are on pasture all day and he said he feeds a conventional feed and not organic because his farm feed source does not carry. I have read chickens do great on Organic Alfalfa and hope Mike finds some for his chickens for the late fall and winter months and as supplement during the warm seasons.. Since his chickens get most of their nutrition from bugs, seeds, and produce outside in the warmer months. The eggs have very dark yellow/orange yolks so I was pleased.. The lettuce was very good too.. It is all organic produce with no pesticides or herbicides according to Mike.
