I drove to the dairy from north Austin, and my journey through the torrential rains that day was rewarded with the best goat milk I have ever tasted. Frances, the owner, mentioned that she ensures that the milk doesn't have that "goaty" aftertaste to it. I could hardly believe it was goat milk.
Her little dairy itself is brand new as is the construction. She obtained her Grade "A" Certified Raw Dairy license in December of 2011. Her herd is a mixture of nubians and alpines.
Without a doubt, I will happily make the 60-mile round trip each week, thirsty for more!
