My husband and I have belonged to this cooperative for several years. Membership is only $15 a year, and seniors get a 10% discount, which is a big help to us. The products are labeled as commercial, sustainable (within their first 5 years of organic gardening), or organic, so you know what you are buying, and most things are organic. There are bulk honey, spices, beans, nuts, grains, various kinds of dried mushrooms, and a lot of other great things. People's is our main source for raw nuts and raw honey (We buy the latter in jars, not bulk.) We try to eat in the little cafeteria upstairs when we go there because everything is so delicious and healthy.
Last, but not least, we love People's because both the people working there and the ones shopping there are so nice!
The only bad thing about People's is that it is around 19 miles from our home. Will they ever open a branch in Chula Vista or National City? Hope, hope, nudge, nudge.
