Hawkins Family Farm

By: Foy Spicer (May 14, 2012)
The Hawkins are nurturing the body and soul on their farm in north east Indiana. When you drive out to the farm store or for pizza Friday nights (in the summer), you'll pass the vegetable and herb garden. Out behind the house you'll see the cattle grazing, the chickens scratching and pigs rutting.

In the store you may purchase frozen chicken, pork and beef. Be sure to give their pepperoni a try. Also available are fresh eggs with high marigold colored yolks full of flavor and nutrition. Local honey and maple syrup are also available.

Become in touch with the season by signing up for a CSA share and receive vegetables as they ripen. For the full experience you can even pick your own and save a couple bucks. You may also choose a meat share.

Pizza Friday nights are a community favorite; starting May 18th this year (2012). See how the garden is growing while enjoying brick oven pizza featuring farm ingredients. Further support the good life by celebrating with a harvest meal, Between Heaven and Earth, which benefits HOPE CSA.
