Golden Earthworm Organic Farm

I am more than half way through my 2nd year at Golden Earthworm and simply can not give sufficient praise! As I suggested above they likely have not kept their listing up to date because they have no trouble filling up their available shares. Unlike some of the other CSAs, GE's shares are the perfect size for singles and couples, and because somewhat smaller they are also a bit cheaper than other LI Organic CSAs. Delivery is most often to a private home in your area, where you have a +/- 7 hour "window" for P/U. Varied produce arrives obviously freshly picked, and this year esp. a very nice VALUE! I was more than satisfied Summer of '11 (obviously I came back), but during Summer of '12 and it's perfect weather I have been seriously impressed. GE "saves" the shares for returning customers till Jan. 1st of the next year, but then new people can sign up, so mark your calendar! I'm sure some customers don't come back because share not big enough for a family (though I'll bet some take 2 shares) or they don't like working with what comes in box instead of choice, which is a "difficulty" some can't "overcome" w'CSA! My communications with the farm have ALL been well received, and ?s quickly answeared. Their wedsite is VERY informative, and you can search what was in the box last year or this year for "full discloser" of the value, keeping in mind these vegs.are WAY better looking than ANY you'll see at Fairway or Whole Foods!
