She offers a new way of supporting Fat Moon with two ways of purchasing produce - (1)- cash and carry or (2). Farm $ in the a personal account (different levels) - that way you can pick the items that you/your family likes or want to try instead of getting a set bag of produce each week. With the Farm $ - you do not have to remember to have enough cash on hand. Elizabeth will remind you when your account gets low, and you can add more to the account.
Most of the customers stay around and talk, exchange recipes and ideas. Many have become Thursday friends. Added bonus for kids - get to visit the farm and take a class too - her friend, Emily Piper offers a children's art class from 4-5pm each Thurs so the children can have fun too (only $5) each.
Elizabeth also offers cooking and health classes with different teachers. Taking the food she grows to the next level - how to use it in many different ways. At the end of the class, students get to take home a bag of items/recipes to try the recipes. She offers children's programs on gardening and even a CSA's for children Class. Some of the classes are for children alone, but many are for parent/child. The children get to learn, plant seeds or transplants, and then pick and take home.
I will continue to use Fat Moon at Meadowbrook Farm and refer friends and other people to try this new local Farmstand. Hope you will want to try it too.
