Palouse Brand

I have become increasingly concerned about GMO grains, beans, seeds and other 'non natural' methods and/or ingredients, etc. that seem to be slowly but surely making their way into most of the foods available for purchase in the grocery store isles today.

In fact, if I am not mistaken, the FDA recently ruled that GMO containing foods and/or ingredients DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO BE LABELED AS SUCH ON THE FOODS WE PURCHASE AND FEED OUR FAMILIES! I GUESS WE CAN CALL THAT THE FLIP SIDE OF 'FOOD TRANSPARENCY'!

Okay, getting down off my 'soapbox' now.................

I made split pea soup today - one of my all time favorites - with my Palouse Brand green split peas and - I just THOUGHT i loved split pea soup before as the flavor and texture of the peas and the way they almost 'melted' into the soup's other fresh veggie ingredients - and , only after simmering for an hour, the texture was so smooth and creamy it looked like it had gone through the blender - I'm almost ashamed to admit I have already had 3 servings of the soup today - can't seem to get enough of it.

I purchasd their green split peas, hard red winter wheatberries, garbanzo beans and lentils and I can confidently say that FRESH AND NATURAL dosen't even come close to describing it - I've sprouted, cooked, eaten in salads and made into side dishes and tried all that I purchased, in fact, everything that I've made thus far with their healthful non-GMO products has been so tasty, filling and nutritious that, besides eating and cooking with my own farmstead fresh eggs, I've eaten little else lately.

I have several freinds who are strict vegetarians and I often thought I could NEVER go totally vegetarian but now that I'm hooked on the endless uses and recipes for the fresh, pure and natural Palouse Brand products - I 'get it' now.

Thank You Palouse Brand Owners and Growers - Please Keep Up the Good and Hard Work - We Need You More Now Than Ever!!!

I will be ordering Palouse Brand seeds, grains and beans from now on.
