We've been Robinette CSA customers for 2 years now. Don't dally during sign-up time in the spring our you'll miss out. These shares sell out fast.
The volume and variety of produce is fantastic, and not only do you get fresh veggies, you get a weekly newsletter with farm news, recipes and ideas for how to prepare your bounty.
We've had everything from the typical greens, tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots to more exotic fare like yellow watermelon, garlic scapes, pink beets, and fennel.
Each Wednesday, we go to Leon's parking lot to select from different varieties of vegetables. They don't just hand you a sack of produce, YOU get to pick everything out!
Alex and Chloe are great people and great stewards of the environment and their land. Through local fundraising, they just purchased their farm this year, and two Belgian horses to do the heavy-duty work.
I can't say enough great things about Robinette.
A medium share is what our family of 4 uses, and sometimes it's almost too much for us to eat all in one week.
You can sign up for smaller shares, and this year they offered a bi-weekly share. They also sell farm-raised lamb and pork, and though we've never tried it, there is a weekly gelato share as well.
