Local Matters

This is not your traditional CSA but one created by a Market. This provides a great selection since the Market buys from a wide variety of local producers allowing for a year round bag of surprises every week. I've been a member for a year as of this writing and just renewed for the Winter Season.

Having been a member of other CSA's where the pickup window was small I have to say this one is a blessing. Being able to pick up the bag any time over a two day period makes it a heck of a lot more convenient.

Every Monday an email with the weeks selection is sent out. This gives me time to create a menu with the weeks goodies. Being located in the North Market makes it oh so easy to visit the other vendors to pick up other ingredients I may need to create the dishes I come up with.

I get the smaller sized bag being it is just me. I found it was still to much for one to use in a week. I now come up with a menu by Tuesday, Pick up my bag and other ingredients early on Wednesday and prepare a nice meal to share with friends. It has become a thing with us now on Wednesdays.
