Katydid Ranch

Six friends & I shared 1 bushel from Katydid Ranch CSA. Saved some cash with a work share, 20hrs of farm work for a lower CSA rate. We received boxes from June to Mid October. I cannot adequately express how good the food tasted, how many new foods I tried, & how much I've learned. I tried yellow carrots, french breakfast radishes, kale, garlic scapes, new kinds of sweet & hot peppers, heirloom tomatoes, squash, beets, purple beans, purple cauliflower, Swiss chard, and the herbs... the herbs were the best I've ever tasted. Getting my hands dirty in the field helped me appreciate the challenge of organic farming, and I had the satisfaction of seeing my hard work blossom into deliciousness! I'm now an expert in the produce isle in the winter, and I smirk and act superior in the summer skirting the produce. I don't need much from June through September. I'm sure I saved money over buying from a grocer. Life Changed for the better. Passion for food inspired. Eat Local, Eat better.
