I recently worked at Happy Hills Alpaca farm and I came to here to warn others interested in working on Val and Kaarlo's property. The animals are fantastic and if you only plan on working on the farm, not staying with them, then I say go for it. If you intend with living with them though, I highly suggest not doing so. It was a very unwelcoming environment to start with. Val would be upset if I sat anywhere around the house except for my room or the arts & crafts room. This even included sitting outside around the house. The couple came off very racist and homophobic as well. They made many comments about not wanting "terrorists" to work on their property.It was a negative environment with the wife always complaining about everything around. I was only there for a short period and Val felt it was okay to get in my face and scream at me as if I was a child. A few of the previous workers before me left within the first week. After a month, I understood why. Don't work here.

This girl is still blasting me and trying to ruin my farm business. She has totally ruined my fb page so that I have to delete it now. please block this as she may have all her "friends" who have never been to my farm blast me too.

This review was made by an intern that we had on the farm who was asked to leave. She did not change the water for our alpacas and crias for over 4 days and the water was horribly muddy and contaminated. She had been warned about this before, but continued to not be diligent about something as basic as clean water! She has now chosen to slam us with bad reviews where ever she can.

This comment was made by a "intern" who was let go from our farm due to her not changing the alpacas water, or feeding them properly. She was given warnings but refused to complete her tasks correctly, thereby jepardising the health of our alpacas. It has been her intention now to list bad reviews for our farm where ever she can. Please remove this comment. it is unfair.
