Nocatee Farmers Market

By: Rob Piccillo (Aug 12, 2014)
There is nothing farmerish about this market. Most of the produce seems brought over from Publix, which is a long way from the farm. The whole feel is more flea market then farmers market. Occasionally they have a good food truck there, but other then that skip it. This is simply a marketing tool to get people over to Nocatee to buy a home.

Went to Nocatee Farmers Market yesterday. I look forward to it every month. It was very hot, so I made it quick to get what I go for. Met a farmer from Lawtey, FL that had the most delicious pink lady peas & field peas that he grows & shells, fresh - day before market. Bought beautiful local cauliflower, Tennessee tomatoes (favorite), local carrots, locally made bagels, breads & pastries that are truly amazing. Whoever wrote this has either not been or has a personal reason for sabotaging a community gem. We don't live in Nocatee, but we do make a special trip to this market monthly.

I have to assume this person has never been to the market.
