After just a few months of interning at Happy Hills Alpaca Farm, I have gained a wealth of knowledge from the owners Val and Kaarlo about alpacas, sustainable agriculture, and maintaining a farm business. Val and Kaarlo are both extremely accommodating and patient, and their enthusiasm and love for the farm is reflected in the numerous awards their alpacas have won and by the frequent visitors that come from near and far. The animals on the farm are also very gentle and friendly-- I highly recommend this farm to people of all ages for any occasion. By simply making an appointment with Val you can get a walking tour of the farm, see the fiber studio, make your own fiber art, buy a pair of alpaca wool socks, or even host a birthday party at the farm. Val and Kaarlo are extremely knowledgeable and can answer any of your questions or curiosities regarding the farm.

A.H. had a different experience because she was only working Mondays/Fridays and living at home. As I mentioned in my review, if you are only planning on working on the farm and NOT staying with the owners, I'm sure it would be much more pleasant. I truly don't want someone to have to go through what I did.
