Gotreaux Family Farms

I shopped with this family for years, even bringing many friends and family to them. However, I bought a bad package of tilapia from them at the farmers market. I noticed when I bought it, it wasn't frozen, although it usually is. I inquired, but they told me it would be fine to take home and freeze. I did. Less than 2 weeks later, I took the fish out to thaw and cook. I immediately noticed a rotten odor and messaged them to see about exchanging for another package. They accused me of lying and mishandling the fish. They did exchange it, but the wife was terribly rude when she did, tossing the fish at me. I offered to bring the bad fish to them, but the reply was a snarky, "we don't want it!" Never again will I buy from, or recommend them. With all the business I brought them, to be treated this way over a $12 package of fish is beyond me, and just shows you that the "nice family" routine is simply an act.
