Murchison Road Community Farmers Market

By: Marsha Howe (Nov 21, 2014)
The students at FSU wanted to make a difference in their neighborhood and won a small grant to pop up a weekly farmers market in this food desert neighborhood. The farmers grow most of their produce. Some of these farmers are GMO free and do not spray their produce with chemicals. The market sells local honey and has food demos from time to time. It is a great community gathering place! I have been very happy with the fresh seasonal produce, honey and eggs and am so grateful that they will be open year round. We need more neighborhood farmers markets like this in Fayetteville and more growers!
